For Christmas

'TWAS THE NIGHT

'Twas the night before Jesus

and all through the land

all the cattle were lowing,

for His birth was at hand.

Gathered in a small manger,

mother by His sweet side,

Jesus, born into danger,

came to free His sweet bride.

'Twas the night before glory,

'twas the night before sin

would become a new story

midst the darkness and din.

A small boy, grown to princehood

would proclaim in His name

how His blood will take care of

world sickness and pain.

'Twas the night before evil

would be given the sign

of rebuke and the devil

would flee into night.

Through His signs and His Goodness,

mercy lives tenderly.

Let His glory take your mess,

throw it into the Sea.

'Twas the night before Satan,

living high on our debts,

would be given a sentence

through the glory he's met.

Never blinking an eye,

Jesus came with a sign,

bringing glory so fine,

turning water to wine.

'Twas the night before freedom

would come into our lives,

by the blood of this God Son

who would light up our eyes

with His ways and His wonders

giving freedom to men,

taking all of our blunders.

Washing us free again.

The true meaning of Christmas

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Satan, in the Garden of Eden separated Adam and Eve from Father God. He caused them to disobey God and sin. This separation resulted in a door being shut between man and God. From this separation God cursed Adam and Eve by physical death. Man still dies today physically from this curse. Eve’s womb was cursed to experience painful childbirth. Women still today experience this curse, but God had a solution. HE would leave HIS throne, come in flesh and be born only to die for the sin of the world. HIS perfect sacrifice would redeem, save, reconcile, and re-unite man back to the Father. Jesus is God and before HE came to earth to be born of a virgin, HE was in the beginning of Creation. 1 John 5: 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.---> This says that Jesus (the Son) is the WORD. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are 1 person, just like I am a Father, a Son, a brother, an uncle, with a spirit, yet still 1 person. The WORD (Jesus) was in the beginning of Creation, HE created all things. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.[2] The same was in the beginning with God.[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (down to verse 10)

[10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

So, we know that God is Jesus, Jesus is the WORD, and Jesus is God. God HIMSELF left HIS throne to come to earth in flesh. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.--------------THIS is the whole meaning of Christmas. God came to earth to be born in flesh only to die for mankind. HIS purpose for dying for the sin of the world that HE would open up the door that was once shut between man and the Father. Jesus HIMSELF is that door to the Father. Jesus said in John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The bible doesn’t say exactly when Jesus was born and that’s not important. What is important is why HE came in flesh. This is the ‘Good Tidings of Great Joy’ the angel speaks of in Luke 2:10. Because Jesus came as God in the flesh to die for the sin of the world, we now can enter heaven through the door Jesus Christ. This is Good Tidings of Great Joy! This is the true meaning of Christmas.
